I was hired to color-correct and remove the background of this image. For this project, I edited the provided image of sliced beef to meet the client’s specifications for a clean and professional presentation. Using Adobe Photoshop, I began by correcting the white balance to ensure the colors appeared true to life, emphasizing the fresh red tones of the beef while maintaining the subtle marbling details. Adjusting the color balance and levels helped refine the overall appearance, ensuring the product looked natural and appealing.
I removed the original background, isolating the sliced beef on a crisp, white backdrop for use online. I also provided a transparent .png file so they can use it over any background. This technique is essential for product photography to highlight the product in a non-distracting way. By refining the edges and using brushes and layer masks, I created a clean cutout with smooth edges. The final result is a polished and client-ready image that showcases the product’s quality and is versatile for anywhere they need to place the image.
