Not everyday will be perfect, and sometimes you won’t know what you’ll miss until it’s gone. Little kids grow up right before our eyes. Sometimes we are so focused on the big picture of things, that we forget to capture the little things. My daughter has taken an interest in photography lately, so I’ve done multiple photoshoots of her with her favorite stuffed animal. He goes everywhere with her, he’s in most of our family pictures, he is even in her picture with Santa Claus.

Other things that might be fun to capture are how they write their name at different ages, a silly fashion show that they put on, them making a meal, them in a disastrous house, etc. Whether your kid is two or twenty-two, any pictures you take will last longer than that moment. Let them show their personality, be wild and free. Let them dance, and swing. Let them be them.

Birthdays come once a year, but they are only significant because we say they are. Who’s to say every other day isn’t just as important?
